I had a solo room for 4 nights and enjoyed a million dollar view of the onion domes of the Church on Spilled Blood. At 2 A.M.   We've spent about 8 weeks in St. Petersburg over the past 5 years as students, and our dorms were located in old Soviet apartment blocks; so this hotel was a welcomed change for our short visit back to Peter!! Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the expensive side.
