Great staff who took time to give us recommendations, give directions, etc. They also speak English well which was an important bonus. The location is perfect, a block from Nevsky avenue. You can walk to
every city attraction. The personnel is wonderfull, excellent english
and helpful. A complete breakfast, with russian specialities and also
continental food for foreigners. Nice room, bathroom, pleasant heating,
an electric kettle with tea bags were appreciated at night.

The past reviews are exactly as it is. The apartment we had was roomy, very quiet, well equipped and clean enough. It is in a safe area. Beware that 60% of the aparts in St Petersbourg have no private bathrooms and kitchens, but this one does!

Plenty of places to grab a meal, easy access to any part of the city with the subway station right across the street. The Anchikov has only a few rooms and the staff really treat all of their guests like a kings and queens. Without a doubt the best thing about this hotel is the location - it is situated right in the historic centre of St. Petersburg, all sights are very close - I managed to visit a lot in a very short time and didn't even have to use Russian public transport (which leaves a lot to be desired!!).

Exceptional location - the hotel is at the best Saint Petersburg restaurants street, close to Nevsky and 2 metro stations, but away from the traffic at the same time. The room is equipped with everything one may need - starting from a TV and a fridge and up to a fan and an iron. Neat luxury-style design in an authentic old-fashined building. -
