The hotel is located in 3 minutes walk from the central railway station. I took airport shuttle that stops on the station. Next day I walked to the station and got train to other city. Even if you have heavy lagguage it is enough to have about 20 minutes to get from the hotel to the platform you need by walk. The room was very cosy, it even had a

discreet hotel hidden in a building near the railway station (main Katowice). Rooms and suites for families with children (fridge, sink). modest but tasty breakfast (home scrambled eggs, sausage, bread, etc.). Parking in the closed yard is an advantage. Reception is open until late and then gets the key to the front door. not far from St. Mary's street and restaurant area .

We wanted to go to Auschwitz for visiting the memorial and were looking for a budget hotel nearby.
We reserved a room for 2 persons and were assigned one for 4 persons, this was spacious, but on the 3rd floor (without elevator), which was ok for us, since we did not have much luggage.
The buffet breakfast offered a little choice of local food. -
... ce que les gens disent » The location was perfect for us as we were visiting Auchwitz 6km away although Krakow is only 60km away. The staff are very helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Free wi fi in public areas. Room spacious and clean, would stay there again.

If you come in Bytom and want to feel super comfortable just stay in Apart-Lux!

Very clean, spacious apartment. Free Wifi, LCD TV, fully equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff!! (One person even gave us a lift to the tram station). Brand new rooms, furniture, it was a pleasure to stay there. Close to Katowice Pyrzowice Airport. -

Quiet location although near centre of town just a bit awkward to find because of current roadworks.
Perfect for getting to airport early.
