  We had absolutely fantastic stay at the hotel. It is relatively new (12 year old) family run, little place with 7 guest rooms. The hotel is located in Volastra village, which is on the top of the hill between two 5 Terre towns of Manarola and Cornigla... Very friendly hostess will explain you everything... The Hotel was spotless and the rooms were really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and a glass of wine or cappuccino was extremely reasonable. There was even a garage beneath the hotel to park our car. This was the first of many stops on our Italy/Sicily tour and it was a delightful place to relax after our flight from the US to Milan.   Location was great, we had a great view from our balcony, we were able to see whole Riomaggiore and its sweet houses. We didn't mind to climb lots of stairs to get there. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. Vast breakfast buffet. We liked everything. - The young man at the desk was very helpful and accomodating.   The staff was very nice - everyone we met spoke English, which was wonderful. Breakfast was simple but good. In Manarola (as well as the other Cinque Terre towns) you have to leave your car in a parking lot above the town, and walk down the mountain with your suitcase. Although we didn't have a view of the sea from our room, we had a lovely vie... ce que les gens disent » w of the vineyards and gardens running up the hillside, and were very happy the next day that we didn't have to lug our stuff any further up the hill. - A simple, newly renovated and clean hotel which used to be a winery. Lovely staff, lounge and garden. While no view of the town or ocean, the location was great with a wonderful view up the hillside. I don't 'do UP', but this was an easy and quick walk from the main part of the town, away from the more touristy areas. I felt like a guest in their home as I believe it's family run, and they live next door. Lovely!
