You'll cross the picturesque countryside of the Vent Orientale to reach the vineyards of the Veneto and Friuli, and enjoy lunch and wine tastings. Traveling by minivan holding only eight passengers ensures you'll enjoy the benefits of a small group tour.
After stopping at a local dairy to taste the typical Montasio cheese, you'll head into the hills of Corno di Rosazzo and Cividale to visit a top wine-maker/oenologist and his vineyard. Wine tastings include great whites and full-bodied reds: Cabernet, Merlot, Refosco, Verduzzo, Friulano and Tocai.
Your tasty lunch is served in a tiny trattoria near the Slovenian border, featuring home-made seasonal specialties, Schioppettino wine and, of course, grappa (the local firewater)!
