  The hotel is very nice and cosy. The room faced the backyard, it was purely calm at night, only the bells of the tower were heard from the far. There was a big bath in the the bathroom that never happens in a 3stars hotel, nice surprise. The room was cleaned perfect but the tips were not taken:) The personnel is very delicate and polite. It's not the place for a romanti - Historical nature of building; space in rooms (much larger than most hotel rooms in Italy, extremely spacious bathroom); nice paintings and furnishings; large lobby; free wifi; helpfulness of staff; reasonable (but not exceptional) breakfast (fresh fruit would be nice)

  Excellent hotel in a very good location just off Maggiore Piazza. The staff were friendly and helpful. I drove to the hotel and they looked after city driving permit and parking. I used sat nav to find hotel which got me to the front door, unfortunately via a pedestrian area! Still I learnt some new Italian phrases. A tasty breakfast was offered in a stylish dining room from 06:45 until 10:30 so great for tourists and business travellers alike.   The Hotel was just about perfect, from the location, 20Metres or so off the main drag to our room being very quiet, the room was large and spacious , with a free fridge and small safe (again free of charge ) big enough for a small lap top. The bed was very, very comfortable (subjective I know ) with good quality linen and pillows plus spares. Also... ce que les gens disent » supplied was a towelling robe and toiletries. Breakfast was as good as any I have had in Italy and better than most, so no complaints there. All in a - The Hotel Cavour was perfect for staying in Bologna. Only five minutes walk from the centre and ten minutes to the station. It was exceptionally clean, the staff were helpful and the breakfast each day was amazing - cereals, ham, cheese, pastries, juices, tea, coffee etc etc. Room was large with air conditioning and the bathroom was fine. Would stay there again.
