  Hotel Mimosa Chose because of price and proximity to Pantheon n lots of other attractions. Nervous when arrived - only a small placard on the wall of a side street cabbie located only by address. Luckily the main doors were open to get access to the upstairs reception desk. There was a lift, much needed following a 10 day cruise worth of luggage... ce que les gens disent » . No TV, hair dryer, fridge or access to much ice (can borrow hai - We were impressed by the helpful, friendly and very warm welcome here at this hotel. We enjoyed peaceful nights sleep and a very nice breakfast every morning with cheerful and friendly service. This felt like a home away from home.   Hotel Clarisse is lovely. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable. However it's the staff that make it a great hotel. They go out of their way to help you with your traveling plans around Rome and make you feel welcome. Sergio in particular was wonderful to us. He told us about an amazing local restaurant, found last minute tour to the Vatican, and... ce que les gens disent » even accompanied me to a shoe repair to help translate. I would stay here again simply for the service. - The hotel staff were all very nice and extremely helpful. They assisted with setting up tours and transportation. They even packed our breakfast to go, since our tour departed before the restaurant opened. We didn't spend much time in the room other than to shower and sleep, but the rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning (August!) and doors that opened to the courtyard. We were able to walk to many of the major sites. It was lovely.
