  Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

La situation de l'hôtel est idéal (près du centre historique sans subir la foule des touristes dans cette île de Guidecca très agréable) et c'est de plus un site historique.   We loved so many things about Al Redentore Di Venezia. Andrea the Manager was fabulous and could not have been more helpful. The apartment itself was beautiful, very clean, and had everything you could possibly need in a self catering apartment.
