  The location of Villa Landucci was really great for us. Not too far (30 minutes walk) from the center, and - and I think this is valuable in Florence - with free private parking possibility. The couple running the place, since sept 2012, were very kind and helpful in every matter. Easily accessible by car and a locked parking at the hotel. About 2.5 km walking to the centre, but shopping and restaurants just a few blocks away. Nice and relaxing garden, and balcony (or direct access to garden from the room). Highly recommended!

The service in the restaurant was excellent and the serving of drinks and aperitivo in the library was a nice touch..

But as far as I understood 2-star hotels in Florence are not that far from 4-star hotels in other cities. Besides the price was very moderate in comparison with hotels in other famous cities.   Excellent value for money and close enough to centre to walk; 15/20 minutes. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Parking can be a problem but after the first night we were given a space in the hotel garage round the corner. Best if you have a small car. Also found 3 very good reasonably priced local restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Breakfa - It was very nice and confortable, the rooms were modern and had every facility, breakfat was really good. They rent bikes so you can visit the city faster! But anyway, its just a 10 minute walk away from the Duomo, which I think is the main attraction, the hotel is close to a supermarket and different shops, cafes and restaurants, I really enjoyed my stay, the staff is pretty kind and helped me with everything i needed.Totally recommended!
