This part of Forio in my opinion is preferrable since main traffic road here is quite far away from the shore line, which is often not the case in others.   The management team were excellent and provided us with everything we needed and more. The apartment was 5 minutes walk from the beach/shops/bars/cafés and restaurants. The apartment was perfect for a couple and had stunning views over the island and out to sea. We didn't use this option but was good to know it was there - Posidonia Residence has a very good location, near the porto and the main street of Ischia Porto where are a lot of stores, restaurants, etc. The apartment is very comfortable, clean and well eqiupped. There are spacious rooms: living room with kitchen and beed room. The kitchen has all necessary to cook. Also we have a fantastic panoramic sea view. Francesco creates warm and friendly atmosphere.   We loved the location of this hidden gem! It is located in Forio, near the top of the mountain. We were nervous at first because the cab driver just kept saying "oh too far, very hard". We soon found that he meant to drive his cab to the hotel ( lots of winding narrow roads, took about 45 minutes). The daughter speaks the most English and the whole family was extre - We have chosen this hotel for our honeymoon in August 2013 from huge list of hotels on Ischia and as soon as we arrived we were SO glad of our choise. The hotel staff is very helpful and nice, the location is perfect - it's very quiet, but you can reach all the places and sights that you need (they have a free transfer to city and to the beach). Renting a car is a very good solution, but we didn't rent cause we were afraid of tricky roads on island. The breakfast is nice, but there aren't much
