  The beachfront location was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the ioutdoor and indoor pools and a wonderful jakuzzi. We stayed there during the Akko Theater Festival. It was very convenient to get to the old city. There were shuttle busses very close to the hotel. Also, the city of Akko is very interesting.   Akko Gate Hostel is exactly what you are looking for in a hostel. It is a low cost, pleasant place to stay in an excellent location. As with many low budget guest houses, the hotel's greatest attribute are its employees--a very welcoming Arab-Israeli family. As a young 19 year old student backpacking through Akko alone, the family running the host... ce que les gens disent » el welcomed me with open arms, making sure that I knew my bus/train schedule and that I ate breakfast. They also asked me to help fix their wifi netwo - We knew precisely what we were getting with this hotel -- a friendly place right in the old town that wouldn't break our bank. And it is exactly what we got. The staff, always on hand, were attentive and helpful, especially with our two young boys. The location could hardly be better, within easy reach of everywhere in the old town and even some places in the new. We didn't ask for luxury, but got what we needed: a comfortable bed in a comfortable room with good AC, tv and private bathroom.

  I liked everything about this Guest House. There are alot of school kids that come to stay overnight, which can make for a boisterous stay, but this guest house has made accomodations for adult travellers. There are just a very few number of rooms on the third floor, (6 I think), to accomodate adults during these peak school trips. They probably could have fit 2 king beds into the room and the balcony could probably accomodate a party of over 60 pe - The room was spacious, modern, clean. When we arrived and the housekeeping ladies saw us, they brought immediatly a babybed for our 18 month son. We got fresh towels, coffee and creamer every day. Everybody from the staff was really friendly, helpful, e.g. we got help to "free"our car from the parking place, where the parkingautomat wasn't working. For breakfast there was a big buffett with everything you can wish and more... We had a great time with our two kids, explored old akko, had a trip
