We got a huge welcome from the very friendly nad efficient manager and
we chatted for ages. He also gave us several good tips - one of them
about why banks ask if you want to pay in your currency or the currency
of the country you are visiting (make it the country you are visiting -
saves charges). I wonder why the banks don't tell you this! Also

Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. A warm and personal wellcome from the duty receptionist Jonathan, he was very kind to myself and friends and helped us to dry our very wet motor cycle clothes after a very difficult ride from killarney. Due to the inclement weather he organised transport for us to local restaurant and bar, checked our ferry times and if it was running he was just fantastic and I ask you to pass on our sincere thanks.

Margaret and her husband were wonderful hosts, I am writing this review on behalf of my father and his partner, whilst they were staying here my father became very unwell and Margaret and her husband went out of their way to do whatever they could to help, just want to say a massive thank you to you both. -

Ideal first stop after ferry journey to Rosslare. We were welcomed warmly and given the location of a convenient spot for dinner. The guest house was set in beautiful grounds and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. -
On arrival we received a very friendly welcome from Olive.
The rooms were lovely and the breakfast each morning was excellent.

We loved Ashley Lodge B&B, The host was so friendly and helpful seeing if we had everything we needed at breakfast which was more than enough. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. We only stayed the one night on our way back for the early ferry. It was situated only 5 minutes from the port so very handy. Fully recommended. -

Ferry - just a couple of minutes drive. Off main road so nice and quiet.
Great full Irish breakfast - and Margaret was happy to get up early in
order for us to have breakfast before ferry. Already booked to go back.

The host and staff were incredible. They went out of their way to make make sure our trip was all we hoped for. The host was a great resource for ways to navigate and see Dublin. When they learned that we were leaving very early the next morning, they packed up sandwiches and snacks for our trip.The room was comfortable, very clean and quiet.

John was very helpful, recommended and booked a place to eat dinner.
John also collected us from the boat on the night we arrived back, even
tho' we weren't staying with him, which was very kind.
Considering our boat was delayed by hours because of weather and he was
busy with others booking in. Thanks John we'll definitely be back to
stay on our next trip to Wales

We had stayed before so knew what to expect.We always enjoy staying at the Danby Lodge.It is always comfortable,clean and the staff are exceptional in caring for you,nothing is too much trouble.The other advantage to staying there is that the food is always good at either dinner or breakfast.As I sometimes travel alone I always feel safe there. -

Very friendly and helpful staff. The bar / restaurant was not much to look at, but the food was very good. There was a small play area outside with swings and climbing area, which was good for entertaining a young child. Also a big lawn / grassy area for running around at one side of the hotel.

Helen and Willie are two of the most engaging and friendly people one could ever expect to meet. Made us wish we hadn't made reservations in another county for the next night. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and clean. Helen's breakfast was excellent.

Helen and Willy were fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Most exceptional welcome for first timers to the country and would highly recommend them to anyone. We had the bedroom at the front of the house, got a good night sleep, traffic wasn't noisy. Breakfast was wonderful. We really hope to go back some day and visit as they made the trip worth while.

Ann is a dream. Friendly, laid back/relaxed attitude and nothing is too much trouble for her.
A lovely house with spotlessly clean, classy rooms only a minutes walk away from a couple of pubs where you can get food up to 9pm.

Pretty much everything. Our hostess (Anne I think) was a star and made us really welcome. The B&B was very clean, comfortable and with a good breakfast. We stayed there traveling out from Rosslare ferry and then again on return and it is perfect for the ferry. It also has a nice little pub two minutes down the road that was really friendly and with good meals and drinks. All in all highly recommended and would definitely stay again on a return trip.

We arrived late in the evening. We were met by the lady of the house who immediately offered us a cup of tea. Two of our group were catching an early morning sailing so we headed to bed early.We had a large, warm, and comfortable room. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Recommended !!!! -

I was made to feel Very Special, as the owner picked me up at the train station when I arrived and after preparing just what i wanted for breakfast, he took me to the ferry port the next morning and was ever so kind and accomodating!!! Traveling alone, it had to be the highlight of my six weeks of travels, as I was made to feel so comfortable!!!

That they were great about the dog staying on the premises. The only place in Rosslare that accepts dogs so if you are travelling on the boat with your dog this is a great place to stay.

We stayed for one night and found the owner so accommodating. We travelled with our toddler and were able to put him to bed then sit in the lounge downstairs and watch tv and have a coffee with the monitor while he safely settled to sleep. Was 'dog -friendly' - an absolute rarity in Ireland (?).
The House owners were very welcoming. Room was spacious and comfortable. Good close walks along the cliff-top from the House. However, the close proximity to Roslare ferryport for early departure was the main attraction and excellent early breakfast was a bonus.

We were running late & called the restaurant that was due to close
around 9.00pm.they agreed to stay open just for us-we arrived at 9.30pm
and the staff stayed on in order to serve us.leaving around 10.30pm the
room was very clean & comfortable. The owner could not have been

Four of us stayed one night and found it ideal as a stop-off at the beginning and end of our Holiday so conveniently close to the Ferry...we could not fault anything Good friendly service spotless clean and excellent bathrooms 7 shower pressure...Excilent family friendly Pub for food and drinks 100yds along the same side of the road,we didn't want for anything and its all very recommendable by all of us...John & Marion Keogh and cousins Chris & Denis Meehan

If a higher rating than excellent was available I would have used it, for all the categories! A lovely welcome accompanied with tea & cakes. Magnificent location overlooking the sea. Helpful advice regarding general facilities in surrounding area. Comfortable room and lovely breakfast. Superb B&B.
