Our room overlooked the river and was tastefully decorated in white & cream, I would say 'shabby chic' style. It had a jacuzzi bath in the bedroom part but it had curtains to allow privacy if desired. There was a separate shower room with toilet. We loved the location it was a couple of minutes walk to all the shops, bars and restaurants. The B&B is beautiful inside and out, decor is vintage chic and the room we had (6) was very spacious. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful place to stay. The friendliness of Des, who greeted me and made sure that my stay was amazing. The outstanding cleanliness of my room and the whole building was amazing. The staff is incredibly kind. From check in to departure. Kathryn at the desk and all her assistants. In the dining room and pub area , Thomas , David and Anthony are superb. The rooms are comfortable and it is a great value. Proximity couldn t be beat. Close to all the attractions. My second time there. I wouldn t even consider a different locale.

A very enjoyable stay, great location. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Geraldine made us feel ' at home' from the start, so friendly and welcoming. We especially liked that there was a seperate lounge where guests were able to read/watch tv and make tea/coffee.Lovely home cooked breakfast We would definitely recommend McCarthys

Friendly staff,owner was very accommodating,especially with attention to detail about the area. Very clean rooms,breakfast every morning suited every diet and specification and the Irish breakfast complete with soda bread,white and black pudding. Perfect location, also near to Westport golf club, with a golf loving partner the putting green out front and the living room full of golf memorabilia was brilliant,planning our next trip and will defiantly be returning to the Augusta Lodge.

Family-run by people who really care about hospitality and made time to talk to guests. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms and good bathrooms. Quiet and convenient location between Westport town centre and the harbour. Really tasty and generous 'full Irish' breakfast which really sets one up for the day. High comfort/value ratio - five people sharing two rooms cost under 300 euros total for two nights inc the excellent breakfasts.

The room was lovely but the best bit was siting dowstairs in hte foyer with my grandchildren hile we waitid for other family to arrive.
