The Rose Garden Café And B&B - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
I cannot say enough good about this B+B. We were part of a large group, with our room being the 'room' for 4. It turned out to be two adjoining rooms with own private entrance. Loads of room, comfortable beds for all 4, and well equipped room. There is a real sense of freshness about the place.
If you like a full Irish breakfast, it is better than any 3* and pseudo 4* hotel breakfast we have had. Well cooked, and plenty of it. Their continental is nice also with some home baked French bread. Th. tous commentaires »
The room was spotless (I am extremely high maintenance in this area and had zero complaints). The breakfast was superb. The baked goods were as good as it gets. The service was great and the staff tried so hard to please--but they did so in an understated, calm, and pleasant manner. The husband and wife team who manage the B&B were pleasant. The garden was lovely. The room was across the street from a friendly horse, who made the trip fun for the kids (age 5 and 8)! I would go back to .
This was a fabulous B&B. Vladimira and her husband are a Czech/French couple that provide a clean, comfortable, warm, en suite room with a delicious breakfast including fresh bread and pastries from their bakery. It has a large parking lot, the wifi worked and there was plenty of hot water. It was all only a five-minute walk from the center of Kenmare along a pleasant off-road path, or a few minutes longer following the road. I would definitely stay there again,.
I love the hosts vladimira and Jerome. Clean and comfortable, with café
on premises, yet it is quiet. A short walk to Kenmare so no parking
hassles. On the beginning of the Ring of Kerry. Very European influence.
Host are Czech and French. Food is good. There was a socket by the
mirror which I appreciate and fresh flowers in our room. It just felt
like home. If you get a chance, stay here! I hope to go back ^_^.
Jerome and Vladimira were excellent hosts, very accommodating and gracious. Jerome is a French pastry chef and the B&B always has delicious smells wafting about. They also were the only B&B on our trip that provided delicious, freshly brewed decaf coffee. We were within walking distance of town, and the premises had open, friendly places to sit for reading, conversation, even a Guinness on the house!.
Vladmira was a delightful hostess who not only made us feel right at
home but took care of our drenched clothing after returning from a
"monsoon type rain" downtown after dinner and shopping.
Breakfast served in her cafe was yummy and filling. She does it all -
full time mom, runs b & b, and runs cafe. We would stay there again
in a heart beat. S & s k from Massachusetts usa.
Vladimira & Jerome are very helpful, friendly, sociable people, in a class of their own when it comes to cooking & baking, there`s a lot of space around the Rose Garden which is nice, although it`s on the edge of Kenmare, it`s a comfortable walk into town, easy to travel to other towns, the coast, or the hills, we really enjoyed our stay.
We had a lovely 4 nights in the rose garden b&b we were attending a
family wedding so it was lovely to be able to have a late (up to
5pm)breakfast also the French pastries were far too nice! The rose
garden is v well situated close to the town, restaurants bars and shops.
The weather was lovely and we enjoyed being able to dine al fresco.
Great people are owning this B&B. We had nice talk with lady of the
house. The best of all is franch bakery. Continental brekfast is great
with the best french croasonts I ever eat. And we were quite few times
in Francefor holyday. City is just 10 minute walk from B&B and
restorans are having great food with irish live somgs.
This is the place to stay! Forget expensive hotels and grim hotel rooms! They receive you with a smile, room is lovely and the setting astonishing! You have at your disposal a car park and all the help you need. Breakfast is superlative, better than have a croissant along the street of Paris! Definitely recommended!.
The family apartment we were in was spacious with heaps of cupboard space as was the bathroom. The most comfortable on our trip through Ireland so far. Big shower with great water pressure and volume. The breakfast was great and with a Patisserie as part of the cafe the afternoon tea was exceptional.
excellent location, a huge delicious breakfast, very friendly atmostphere.I liked the idea of the cafe within the house where a selection of homemade cakes and breads , sandwhiches salads and lunches etc were available for the guests and the general public.Very good value and would return again.
The staff was very friendly. The pastries at breakfast were baked fresh
and they were delicious. We bought some for the road when we left. Our
family of 4 had a large apartment - 2 bedrooms and a bathroom - very
spacious. The location is very close to the beautiful Killarney
National Park.
Absolutely lovely staff. Immediately felt at ease and the they were all more than helpful when required.
The shower was amazing adding to the value for money. Excellent breakfast too, good produce and impressively non-greasy. And as for that selection of cakes....wow!!.
Well situated, very reasonably priced.
small and cosy B&B, friendly staff.
food very good especially the
all day cakes and pastries baked on the premises. Tried both breakfasts, the cooked irish breakfast and the continental breakfast, both were very good.
The owners were very friendly, helpful , & welcoming ,we had a lovely room & such a variety of food to choose from for breakfast, we also enjoyed lovely lunches there, the best home made bread and cakes we have had in years and all baked on the premises.
The B&B also has a cafe that is lovely with delicious treats. The owner was so kind and helpful. LOVED the small town of Kenmare which is a two minute drive away, and a reasonable distance to Killarney. Definitely worth your money! Also great showers.
when you arrive you are hit with the wonderful smell of French baking.
The couple are warm and very welcoming, the room was comfortable and very clean, and breakfast was very tasty .Excellent value for money.
looking forward to going back again soon.
the room had everything you needed of practical things, that is very important you can put your things away or hang them somewhere.
The breakfast was superb, and the cakes in the café looked amazing, we did not have the time for those this time --.
The 2 owners dont get in your face and are very easy going. Its rooms were nice and clean and the breakfeast was top class. Got 2 free coffees and a hot chocolate when we arrived, which was nice. A good b&b at a good price....
When you're french and the boss and his wife his french it's just so cool ! Very nice breakfast mixt between french and irish styles.
The confort is very nice. The garden is beautifull. Car park for our 11 motobikes perfect !.
The owners were so helpful and friendly and the B&B itself was thoughtfully decorated and clean with a welcoming atmosphere. The food was fantastic and beautifully cooked. It was amazing value for money.
Friendly and familiar atmosphere. Our room was immaculate and very well decorated. A particular mention for breakfast: F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S, especially because of the "french" touch!!! Definitely recommended.
everything to like!breakfasts were great. The French Pastries and cakes were delicious, also the bread all baked on the premises..owners and staff quite delightful. We are planning to stay again soon.
The "Family Room" was two bedrooms with ample of space for four adults and a large bathroom. Food was good. Rooms were clean.
Great location for starting a day in the Rinf of Kerry.
Easy 10 min walk to Kenmare for eatting out, location to Killarney
np, good breakfast and even better pastries. This is the best place
for lunch.
Friendly stafff....felt welcome from the moment I arrived....the hosts couldn't do enough for me to make my stay a comfortable one....10/10.
Very nice owners, excellent breakfast (Irish or continental), nice
rooms. Ideally located to explore the Ring of Kerry or Beara peninsula.
Lovely family running the cafe/B&B and delicious French
breakfast. Was a delightful place to stay, ended up staying an
extra night!.
Loved the way Vladimira ran things. Friendly, efficient, good food, but gave us space.Wish her the very best in her endeavors!!.
The host family was very friendly and the room plus location suited our needs very well. The food was delicious and plentiful!.
The food was fantastic, was situated close to kenmare town and very reasonable price wise.would definitely stay again.

Fine breakfast from the patestry chef.
price/quality OK !.
lovely bedroom lots of hot water friendly staff excellent breakfast home baking to die for.
Everything-homely, excellent value especially breakfast-of my 5 locations. by far the best.
The owners were very useful and friendly. The food was excellent ( the owner is a baker).
Very quaint.Food excellent and owners very attentive to detail. Gardens and cafe lovely.
Great breakfast, large room and bath, much more room than expected for 4 people in room.
Found everything ok however heating could have been left on overnight it got a bit cold.
lovely atmosphere terrific value for money food was great there was nothing to dislike.
We had a lovely night's stay at the Rose Garden, it was very relaxed and comfortable.
Room ambience, fresh flowers in room, friendliness, caring, helpful, food, gardens.
Loved having a pastry chef prepare the delicious baked goods with breakfast.great value for money lovely breakfast great location such friendly staff !.
We loved the room and the food was gorgeous. The staff where very pleasent.Breakfast, comfortable bed, tranquillity and the owners were very kind.
The owner is a pastry chef, we loved the food and the ambiance.
Standing in the shower was uncomfortable because of the ridges on the
floor. Maybe a shower mat to cover that would make it better.
I couldn't access the WiFi from my room, but there were plenty of comfortable places to get connected at the B&B, so that was not a problem.
Nothing to dislike.
the outside dosent look very appealing driving by,as the grass, shrubs and garden in general looked neglected ,unkept and in need of cutting and tidy up.
Nothing of note.
The shower clogged up.
Nothing in particular.
No dislikes.
nothing really..... will stay again.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
There truely was nothing to dislike...a perfect b and b.
The man of the house is advertised a a great pastry chef. Things looked wonderful but don't be fooled to think they are part of the included breakfast.
Has a very budget feel, had road noise from busy highway although hotel
sets a bit off of the road. The oversized frontyard needs attention,
grass and yard furniture badly neglected. First appearance was not
impressive at all.
No complaints.
Can't think of anything, only that if you want to get into town it
will probably take you 5-10 minutes walk to get there.
All good really, would recommend it without hesitation.
no remarks really, except probably it is not a real B&B as it is part of cafetaria, (which had than advantages for the breakfast).
Rooms are a bit small.
nothing.
Having to leave...
The bedcloths where outdated and the bathroom assessories where very poor.
