  The Salt Hill Location itself is nice village, with a variety of restaurants. We tried Black Cat which was great for lunch but service a little slow during dinner. The fish and chips shop is great too for takeaways. I pick up my morning coffee from Gourmet Tart Company next door (they open at 7:30am). But taxi stand is just right on the doorstep if you are not up for it. What makes our stay p - This was a stop part way through our journey across Ireland. We had stayed in some wonderful hotels and were unsure about our stay in an apartment. It was a great choice. Not only was it convenient to Galway city center, but to a delightful area called Upper Salthill. Wonderful pubs and restaurants just around the corner! Catch the 401 bus into the city center and for a few pennies you don't have to worry about parking. Jonathan was extremely helpful and patient with our questions and accomodat
