I love the kitchen, it's cozy, clean and open for 24 hours. It is such a nice and warm hostel and it is highly recommended. - It was so clean, and you didn't check in, you got an email telling you how to get into the hostel / your room. I arrived at 2 am and went right in and went to sleep. It is nicely decorated and so many things to read to show you what to do. The owner called a bus for me to get me back to the airport and I saw her eating lunch with some guests - she is very nice. I felt very safe.

  I loved the style, the food, the bar, the drinks, the people, the staff. Its just great. I stayed in a private room so can't comment on it as a hostel but I had a really great time.

One member of the staff ( I don't recall his name, but it starts with the letter j and he's from Sweeden) was exceptionally helpful to us. He was very informative, kind and patient with us.   We arrived some hours before the estimated arrival but just a few less minutes after a phone call, the host showed up and were friendly welcome. The guest house was unattended due to the fact that we were the only guests at that time. There are enough private parking spaces available - even they are somehow shared toget - I recently stayed at the Harbourfront Guesthouse for two nights on a business trip. The proprietor (Orri) is very friendly, he catered for all my needs and offered an excellent level of service. The guesthouse is modern and clean and offered very good value for money. It is situated within easy walking distance to two or three exceptional restaurants by the side of the harbour and is just metres from the bus station for travelling to Reykjavic or further afield.
