Very attractive hotel/apartment block located midway between town and the beach, so quiet and yet convenient. Nice pool (though surprisingly cold after a long, hot summer) and outdoor breakfast/lunch area. Staff very friendly and helpful - they even upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment overlooking the pool at no extra cost - because it was available!

Socrates is a lovely hotel. Very friendly owners, Eva and George.
Absolutely perfect pool area, with comfortable sunbeds and a wonderful
garden. We got clean towels every day and the room was perfectly
cleaned. It was about 200 m to the bus stop (32) to Hersonissos and to
the beach 200-250 M. The hotel is perfectly situated in the countryside
quiet yet central. I would definitely go back. And the transfer service
I great. (A family with 16 and 9 year old kids)

We live in Crete (East) but have not been to Chania before and we found the old port to be very beautiful.

Chania, Palazzo Duca is perfect! It is a fancy place--beautiful, clean,
and polished. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Our hotel room was a palace! Very comfortable king size bed, sitting
area with table and chairs, patio with view of harbor with table and
chairs, a kitchenette in the room stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking
pans plus refrigerator. The bathroom was lovely with a heavenly large
shower.

This is a very clean, the rooms are well equipped, is very well located (5 minutes from the beach and the party ^^) and the reception is excellent.

Highly recomend!!! Kosta at reception made our stay unforgettable. Kosta
went way beyond what I would expect from hotel staff to help us with
everything. Great advice on where to eat, which beaches to visit and
where to party. We will definetly be back in future. Cannot have asked
for anything else. Rooms were very affordable, clean and spacious. Short
walk to beach and all clubs, no need to catch a cab.

The staff was very helpful, the room was large, very comfortable and clean and they even provided with a temporary room to leave our luggage in and have a shower (after we checked out on the day of departure). The staff were fantastic, the rooms were large and we were lucky enough to have a seaview. The all inclusive rate was so good. The meals were very nice and it is a magic location. Everything. It was beautifully furnished - we liked how it tried to stay traditional to the Cretan style. The facilities were amazing, as was the food (tasty and an excellent choice) - and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room was amazing - very spacious, comfortable and with a beautiful view. -
