Mike at the desk is a star. Staff were insanely nice and extremely helpful. They let me check in early and because it was towards the end of the season they upgraded my room from a double to a quadrouple. You can book excursions around crete through the hotel. I booked a hike to Samaria Gorge, the old man at reception woke up and made me breakfast before the hike. It's also right on the town beach and 10 minute walk to the old part of Chania.

Me and my wife (in our early 30ties) stayed in the hotel recently for 8 nights.

Relaxing rooftop terrace as there was not a swimming pool due to central location.
Close proximity (2 minutes walk) to local harbour and sandy beach, great location and better value meals & drinks to old town.
However the old town is only 5 minutes walk and a charming place.
