Climbing wall is fun for the kids as are the swing set and variety of other things to play on or with inside and out. We enjoyed soaking our feet in the cold creek after a long day in the mountains and meals at the dining facility are a good deal for the money. All in all, a good place to stay. -

Regina at the front desk is a gem! Wonderful hospitality at an otherwise solid family hostel made all the difference. This hostel is located near the Marienberg fortress, 15-20 minutes from the train station. We've booked a dinner in advance but were late. Nevertheless it was a good news for us not to be charged for that. We weren't asked to pay any money for an annual IYHF membership either (as it is written in the booking form). This is a hostel, but much nicer and better equipped than usual hostels. If you don't mind that you have to share the bathroom, it is an excellent value for price. It must have been recently refurbished, our room still had a "new" smell and feeling. The location is great, inside the old city walls, very near to the train station.
