  This was a first class hotel. The room was beautifully decorated but a bit dimly lit. Everything was very clean. Breakfasts were outstanding--one could order freshly fried eggs, omelettes, bacon etc. the buffet featured lots of meat, cheeses, breads and fresh fruit.   The staff was friendly and helpful. The host at the counter gave my husband and I a map of Regensburg to help us get around. If you don't mind walking, the downtown area is very accessible. It's also a quiet location away from the main roads. - Free gym access nearby
