Newly opening in April 2013, this new hotel with a 24-hour reception lies in the heart of Munich. Hotel Kavun is a 5-minute walk from the Stachus shopping area, the Oktoberfest grounds and Munich Main Station. The non-smoking rooms at Hotel Kavun feature modern décor and a cream colour scheme. All rooms include a flat-screen TV, minibar and a private bathroom with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. A breakfast buffet is served each morning in the light-flooded breakfast room. The hotel location was excellent for a transit as its only 2 streets away from tgv rail so a saving on a taxi. The room was as new. We had to register at the hotel opposite which owns this hotel which we found fine. Generous breakfast too. We were allowed to use the lounge after we booked out to read and leave our cases while we enjoyed the Hop on Hop off bus prior to leaving that afternoon.
tous commentaires » Good location, short walk to main train station. We walked to marienplatz within 15-20 min.could park our car in secure park station not far away for 10euros a night. Room was good size and quite new and had a fridge.also good sound proofing. Room was neat and well furnished. The room almost seemed like it had been remodeled recently. The bathroom was very clean and I liked the tile floors and walls. The feel in general was modern. The low price made this a real value stay. The hotel was brand new and very nice. The location is close to the main train station and not far from the Augustiner Keller. The taxi ride from the hotel to the Olympic Park was 13 Euro. Nice hotel. Good facilities, air conditioning (very helpful during hot summer nights), friendly staff. Interior design might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's memorable at least. Hamam + Traditional Massage Breakfast Room clean and still full equiped Minibar with drinks!!!! rare now because most of the hôtels minibars are empty! correct price. Very good value for money - location, cleanliness and furniture (all new and fresh) Rich breakfast (even smoked salmon! :)). The room was clean. The hotel is a new one which hasn't got a reception in the building , so I had to go to another hotel to check-in and out. The room is clean and big. New building. clean and brand new. It was really close to the train station and the shopping area. Only Cute staff. Really liked how quite and safe we felt also in a super location we took train or metro everywhere able to get fresh fruit easily was overall very good spot. Not much to dislike, only comment we'd make is that the room had all the facilities including hot plates, fridge, but no plates no cutlery and no kettle?. Lift was not working. The shower did not have a curtain so the floor in front of the bathtub became a puddle. The parking garage only had like 5 spots for the hotel. All other spots were reserved. Having the reception desk across the street is a bit of an inconvenience, but one is notified in advance. Not the best part of Munchen...But it's every where in the world the same when you stay near the Main train station. Our room was facing a rush street - even though it was on 4th floor, we had to close the windows. Lack of parking at site, however secure parking at the local Bahnhoff (10 minutes walk back). There is no little bin in the room... Nothing. Staff 'forgot' to give us wake-up call, almost missed our flight? Apology not readily forthcoming and needed prompting. It was very difficult to open the door... One of the receptionist (Luis) was very nice and accommodating while the rest were a bit arrogant and racist (some made even a comment!). The reception is in Hotel Atlas which is opposite, not a problem but it does mean you don't have the security of a reception in your hotel. Seedy location! Lift was broken. Breakfast was a bit expensive. Not in pleasant area. 350 euro per night in Octoberfest time is too much for such hotel. I think they should allow earlier check-ins as well. not easy to find this place. poor location, new Hotel with small maintenance problems e-mail poor in the room due the fireproof doors need to go into the hallway to get good reception!. The street outside the hotel was noisy in the morning. Hotel made a mistake in our room. We booked a room with two twin beds, they gave us a room with one queen bed. Refused to exchange it or compromise in anyway. Furthermore, the desk attendant made it sound like it was my fault and I didn't really book two bed (even though I had the reservations with TWO bed in my hands). He said that I'm not saying I don't believe you but it just doesn't look like you did... Some parts still under construction causing some noise in the daytime and a few unfinished details, bad sound insulation, reception and other facilities in another building across the street. I was charged over 450 Euros for a room that´s worth around 150!!!! I was told that this was because there was a big fair in town. Location of hotel was near the center but in a not so good neighborhood. Concierge was quite rude / offhand. After staying in Austria this was a shock. Maybe this is just the 'German way' I don't know... No Safe. No waste bin in the bedroom. Fancy sink tap was awful. Water went everywhere other than in the basin. No information on facilities i.e. Sauna, phone usage, room service etc. The staff at the reception were rude and unpleasant. At no moment you are feeling welcome in Hotel Kavun, Kavun is not having any reception, it belongs to Atlas. We had several problems with the room (pillows impossible to sleep on, minibar not working, the plumber had to come to fix the stopped shower) and we never received any apologies or fast response to fix it, they just didn´t care. telephone was not working in room .could not turn tv while lying in bed and . they did not have uk plug sdpter? and i checked out and waiting to eat my food he didnt allow me. The beds are regally hard. The area is a mess and really ghetto. There is barely any street parking and you have to pay every two hours until 6pm. Definitely the worse place I've stayed. You have to check in at the hotel across the street. It's just a building with rooms and an elevator. The only good thing about this place is the proximity of the shopping. Everything (No elevator,very small rooms, Wifi for only 1 person even the room was for 2 person and we were not informed before), very expensive price for such facilities, breakfast was also 46 euro which is not fair price, reception exist in another building, only one copy of room key.... Located inside strange neighborhood. They know why the room door is so safe. I hate the ceilning painted as sky with clouds. Pricey breakfast.
