  The apartment was very centrally located on a residential side street near the main street of Lochtau, a part of Dresden which is only a five minute drive from the old city on the River Elbe. The apartment was very quiet and had high ceilings and big windows and was attractively furnished. The shower is better than any other I have stayed, and the location is so convenient with Dresden's excellent tram system. You can purchase a beer or snacks in the corridor and pay at the check-out. Last but not the least, it is also the cheapest hotel at which I have stayed, with good breakfast. - Very clean, very friendly staff, excellent connections to city---15 minutes by tram; it's also quiet, and just a great place to stay. There's a small shopping center just by the tram stop which has great food. There's a bakery with good coffee, and an excellent Vietnamese takeaway (or eat in.) I didn't have breakfast at the Weltcafe as I preferred to have a coffee and bun at the place mentioned above.

  I have been travelling with a group of my students and Dresden was our first stop during 10-days trip around Germany. The staff was very nice for us, my students left very good feedback, we cannot complain on the breakfast.
