  The hotel is very near to MarienPlatz and the food market. In front is the very nice and huge supermarket with German deliciousness. The room was a bit small, but high tech. Clean, neat, I was on the fourth floor overlooking the street. Super fast Internet. Management cleared up a dispute over a broken light switch to our satisfaction. Front desk staff all very friendly and helpful.

  This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Also, it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Marienplatz (which is another good location). Most of the top sights of Munich are right nearby. The same is true of many of the best restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful with reservations, including getting us excellent seats at a very popular performance of Rigoletto, which was right around the corner. They also selected and reserved a perfect restaurant for our first night in the city. Very nice!

Not only that, you can always enjoy the shopping and nightlife offered along Leopolds Strasse right in Schwabing. You feel like you have a lot of room to stretch out and its in a quiet and quaint part of town too. Also the staf - I recommend this hotel strongly. Having traveled extensively for work and pleasure, I can confidently say that Hotel Biederstein, though simple, is a wonderful place. Great staff who made us feel very welcome. All of the staff made sure that we were most comfortable, helped us with our logistical questions, and ensured that we had the best possible experience. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. They even upgraded us to a suite, simple as it is, with great views and outside space.
