An unprepared stopover during our vacation, Bernburg tunred out to be a really charming old town and SL'otel a real gem. We stayed in the wonderful 2-room design apartment, sort of in the attic. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Attractive and recently-decorated room, if bizarrely modern in style for this old building. Reasonable breakfast. Close to a modern bar in the centre of the old town that is part of the same hotel group. We did not eat well there, but maybe we were unlucky....
