- The staff were really friendly and great. My sudden visit to this hotel was unexpected due to cancelled flight. Whilst at the airport I decided to book a room at Meininger Hotel for easy access back to the airport very early next morning. Upon submitting my request to stay one night on letsbookhotel.com I was virtually checked in to a room straight away at about 9am. I was very grateful to the staff for allowing me to get some well deserved rest.

Stayed in Berlin for Depeche Mode at O2 World, so location was excellent, about 10 mins walk away.
Also close-by are very good transport links.
Was very pleasantly surprised how quiet and peaceful it was, when in our room.

Located in Friedrichshain, very near U and S-Bahn stations. The area is a bit edgy with lots of night-life....but it still felt safe. Excellent facilities with a modern lobby. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Interesting historical building with an amazing courtyard in centre of the building. Double rooms had a/c which was greatly appreciated in a heat wave. Very last minute booking due to air traffic control strike, and all hotels full... everything worked perfectly, very clean appartment, nicely decorated, all worked well.
