  On arrival, we were given a very warm welcome by the owner and were delighted that we could make a proper cup of tea in the room. Before a wonderful dinner we enjoyed an aperitif and conversation with the other guests in the garden . La Vieille Ecole is a former Convent and dinner was taken in the old chapel which retained many original features ... ce que les gens disent » and provided a wonderful atmosphere in which to dine. In summary, a really wonderful place to stay. - Great location. Very peaceful (except for the church bells). Loads of character. Great canals and waterways nearby. Great for restaurants, boating and cycling.
