It's basically a one-bedroom apartment, completely modern inside and in an historical building. Le Porche de Sarlat is located in the old city of Sarlat and private car parking is located just outside the wall. Alex the owner was waiting for us when we arrived and explained all the appliances within the apartment which was new with all modern appliances and cooking requirements. Its located in an old stone building dating from the 1500's with cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Comfortable room in your own little garden oasis. Even though it's extremely close to the city centre, you never feel that way as it's like a little haven away from the bustle of crowds and noise. Very accommodating and sweet hosts who were patient with my atrocious French and always ready to help. Everything at this B&B was perfect. Breakfast was excellent because

We booked at the last minute for the night of Bastille Day and were able to find a room. Gabrielle was very gracious and helpful. She let us leave our bags there at 11:00 a.m. while she finished cleaning our room, even though the "official" check-in time was 6:00 p.m. She also offered us coffee and a snack and gave us a map and info on the town. Room was lovely.

Our 3rd visit. Nice comfortable good sized room. Very good breakfast. Easy access into Sarlat but it does require you to drive in. -

A very helpful and friendly host assisted by two helpful four legged friends, Pluto the St Bernard and his sidekick Louis. We took our mini wire and he was treated as a part of the family and got on really well with Pluto. We had a relaxing two night stay at Petit Manoir Meysset in November.
Our host, Suzette, spoke French and our home language (Aussie) which
meant we had plenty to discuss. We received an upgrade to a beautiful,
big room that was very well appointed. Breakfast, which costs extra but
is well worth the €7 each, was delicious and filling. The Dordogne
region is amazing! It requires a much longer visit than we could manage.

We had a great stay at this b&b. Gabrielle was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The location is fantastic, literally 2 minutes walk from the centre of the old town, yet just outside of it so you still get peace and quiet. Breakfast was always excellent and filling. Overall a fantastic little place.
