  Where do I start - the ambience, the gentile hostess, the breakfasts, the rooms, the decor, the garden, the horse chestnut tree shedding it's fruits, the dogs, the cat, the advice on sumptuous meals, the evenings sitting looking at the stars, the tranquility. We both had an instant sense of homeliness w - We stayed for 3 nights in March 2013. The rooms are lovely, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The setting is peaceful and idyllic, easy to find and really well placed to explore. Isabelle (the owner) couldn't be more helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic. I have not travelled to this part of France before, but if we come again I wouldn't look anywhere else - I would not hesitate to come back here, you honestly can't find a nicer place.

  The owners, Aude & Sebastien are a lovely couple - nothing is too much trouble. We arrived early and although our room was not ready we were able to leave our luggage. Aude greeted us with coffee and lots of useful information plus a map of Bordeaux. Our room was spacious & comfortable with an en-suite shower room. Il y a de plus un très beau parc avec une belle vue et bien sûr la piscine chauffée. De plus, la chambre et la salle de bain sont d'une rare propreté.   What a lovely place. The owners, who own and run the winery, are superb. They took us on a tour of their vineyard and winery and then offered wine tasting afterwards. We loved their wines and only wished we could bring bottles home with us. The rooms are very clean and spacious and have been quirkily designed by Joel, the owner.   Pretty much everything. The location was wonderful, rolling vineyards as far as the eye can see. We ate family meals out on the terrace above the vineyards in the evening - perfect quiet spot with the scent from the tilleuls in the yard. We had the bedroom up under the roof - a wonderful arrangement of quirky beams and low windows as shown on the website. - Great place that photos don't do justice to. Was really pleasantly surprised to arrive down a lovely tree lined drive and be warmly welcomed to the building which has been beautifully restored. Great facilities, and great to be able to buy local wines and drink on the Terrace overlooking stunning views of vineyards. Lovely room, and all spotlessly clean. Only disappointment was the weather was not good enough to use pool or hot tub. Definitely recommend and hope to return.

  Owner was very accommodating, friendly and made sure that Le Commanderie was well appointed with amenities, comfortable beds, WiFi, TV and stylish furnishings. Loved the room and bathroom layout. Location was very central in St Emilion and parking was beside the B&B. Would stay here again and recommend it! - We loved every moment of our stay at the Maison de la Commanderie in St. Emilion. Our host, Laurent, was wonderful. He provided a wonderful home cooked breakfast served family style. He called a cab service to bring us to the train. He definitely paid attention to every detail about his establishment. The room was spacious and state of the art (iPod speaker system, flat screen TV, fabulous shower with spray jets) with magnificent views of the town and countryside.

  After staying in 12 different hotels & B&Bs in 30 days, my husband and I have both concurred this was our absolute favourite. Claire was an amazing host who could not do enough for us. She even hung out and folded our washing!!! The breakfast table was a delight and the room was more than comfortable with modern décor. We highly recommend La Maison Cachée and will definitely be visiting again next we are in B - Everything was perfect! Nice staff, wonderful room, good shower, well cleaned, comfortable bed, private parking and very good breakfast. Real value for money. Although the b&b was not so close to the city center (about 1.5 km, but we do not like to walk that far) they explained the tram to us so we were in the center very fast. The weather was not good so we enjoyed the (free) cup of tea in our room when we returned. Perfect place to stay when you want visit Bordeaux!

  The reason why we first selected this hotel was because it was an old house directly in Saint-Émilion and it is literally at the entrance of the small medieval town with direct access to all the restaurants and shops. The owner - Delightfully furnished studio accomodation which suited us perfectly. The added kitchen facilities enabled us to enjoy our own breakfasts and on one of the 4 nights that we stayed we were able to prepare a meal to eat "at home".
