After a very long drive and with the early morning Newhaven boat to catch, this little efficient and functional hotel was just the job: a soundproofed room, a large and exceptionally comfortable bed. The Egg is close to the centre of Dieppe with many restaurants on the waterfront nearby. The patronne is welcoming and helpful. The price is more than reasonable. the booking out time was very convenient and civilized. Staff were so helpful and friendly, and gave us some helpful advice as this was our first visit to Dieppe. dining room was cosy and organized with fresh food and drink We will certainly stay again with pleasure. Rooms were very simple but completely comfortable.
tous commentaires » We booked in at 4am. Receptionist was cheery and efficient even if we weren't! The room was a good size and clean with tv and huge bathroom. No in room facilities like coffee but all available from the vending machine. So cheap for what we wanted. It was perfect for a couple of nights. good value for money . room basic but adequate. bed comfortable and room and linen, towels etc. spotless.Staff helpful.best shower i have ever used in easy use of temperature control and it maintained it's temperature throughout (unlike many i've used). very enjoyable night spent. Room clean and tidy. Staff efficient and friendly. Lift fast and available. Breakfast good budget type. Excellent location in town centre, close to shops, restaurants, harbour and beach. Excellent value for money. Convenient pay parking next door. Location, basic but more than adequate facilities, cycle / cyclist friendly with staff who are so friendly and accommodating that they would put staff at a much more expensive hotel to shame. Took ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe for one night weekend break and this hotel suited our needs perfectly. Well priced, clean, helpful staff, checkout at 12, map provided, great location, bag storage no problem. It has a central location from which it is easy to access all parts of Dieppe. Good budget hotel: dont expect much for 39 a night and you wont be dissapointed. It s a nice, very clean hotel and overall in the city centre, close to the beach and the port. Small and simple rooms, but comfortable bed , all you need for a low cost stay. I very much appreciated the booking of taxi for 4 am, I was a little nervous about catching ferry, had to be there at 4.30 am. Taxi arrived at 4 spot on, worked like a charm. No tea/coffee facilities in room and drinks machine very basic. No café nearby. Bunk bed over head of bed. The shower needed a door rather than a curtain. Otherwise all was excellent. lack of parking we did know about it though before booking. Nothing really!. being on 4th floor we had an echo of road/traffic noise & the seagulls were in very good voice, all day & most of the night, we were also on a level with the church & the bells rang quite early but we could have closed the window. Small bathroom. No complaints,it was good value for money. Maybe a few hooks to hang bathrobes etc. No social facility in the hotel itself. No bar!. fluorescent light. All good. No tea / coffee facilities in room. no shelf or cupboard only one chair no bathmat. No air-con; essential because of exterior noise. no Meat option ' breakfast. Bathroom very small. Funny French plugs. No coffee machine in room nor main light.
