When you first arrive, especially if at night, you may think you've
made a horrible mistake. The outside of the apartment is not very
promising. However, once inside, you may never want to leave. We loved
our 2-bedroom apartment and immediately started talking about wanting
our place back home to be more like it.

Amazing location; a few minute walk from central train station and city center. This is a beautifully restored old building with a great view of the park; near bars, shopping and transportation (tram). The rooms are huge, high ceilings, grand style, modern and very comfortable. Host is friendly and very helpful. Would strongly recommend for visitors to Zagreb; can't be beat for price. We also were able to park in courtyard which was very convenient!

Extremely helpful and friendly staff; clean rooms; good WI-FI in the room (at least on the 1st floor, where I was); easy to find (around 10 to 15 mins. by tram from the Central Bus station to station Mandalicina and not more than several minutes walking to the hotel). The staff sends you an e-mail with detailed explanation about the way of payment, the itinerary from the bus/railway station or the airport and other useful info concerning your stay in the hotel. We liked it very much. It's located inside the center so you can walk to every interest spot. And if you wish, it's very close to a main square tram station and also not to far from the train station. The rooms are pretty, rather clean. The staff was always kind and patient. The localization is just perfect, its on a pedestrian street that is
full of bars, cafés and restaurants and all day long is full of people
drinking coffe or beer or just hanging out on the confortable chairs.
Its a very quiet and clean hostel, at least on the top floor where the
double rooms are. The staff was very helpful with booking day trips to
Plitvice Lakes, and searching trains and buses to nearby towns.

A lovely, small boutique hotel of just 6 rooms. Very unusual architect-designed house on 3 levels (no lift, if stairs are a problem for you) that overlooks greenery & trees. Lovely sitting-out areas and an excellent, light & airy breakfast room. The breakfast was elegantly served and the food of good quality, especially the breads. Me and my friends stayed at this hotel last month for 1 night. We booked a 4 pers. ap. I liked the way it looked but we had no oppening window to the exterior. It was a glass wall, the batheoom had no window and the other room had a small window to the coridor. It was ok for us, because it was not that hot outside but I can imagine it can get pret

As business consultant I can tell to all potential visitors coming to ZAGREB: Hotel ILICA - can be a case study for all young hotel managers of how to get benefits from hotel with very limited possibilities. I can recommend it for businessmen, turists who do not like ARTIFICIAL "keep smiling" and prefer very open minded and sincere attitude of hotel staff. These guys really like to serve and help...Nothing to do with trained "robots".

The landlady was very nice and treated us like we were her own family. We got even a better apartment than the original booking was. Everything was very clean and cozy. The location is very good, you have a good view and the city center is 10 min drive away. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had coffee and sugar.
