Personal ist sehr freundlich und spricht gutes Englisch. Besonders eine Person der Rezeption sprach sehr gutes Englisch. Zimmer sind sauber und nett. Gute lage zur U-bahn Station 10 minuten zu Fuß. I went for a conference and I stayed one week in Beijing in three different hotels in total. We stayed in Beijing at Xiao Yuan Alley Courtyard Hotel for 3 nights. It is lovely small hotel in Chinese style. It is very friendly, pleasant, comfortable and cute! It is situated in an old Beijing district Hutong, which is probably the only bastion of traditional Chinese climate left. It is situated max. 30-minute walk from the Forbidden city.

Featuring charming, ultra-helpful English-speaking staff; the Xiao Yuan Alley hotel provides comfortable beds and good facilities, with a superbly located downtown hutong (Beijing alley) location, sensibly priced organized tours (if you wish) and excellent and very reasonably priced food available inside and nearby outside the hotel. And it's a very affordable place.
I very much want to stay at this hotel again. I get happy just thinking about it. Highly recommend.

Situation et proprete - L'hotel est tres bien situé dans Pekin : 10 minutes de la cité interditeet de la place Tiannmen. Le petit dejeuner est un peu cher pour le pays,mais tres copieux et permet d'attendre le repas du soir. Le personnelest très serviable.

Checking-in and out takes time (don't know why, but this is one of
the longest processes and always busy line). It is 100 meters from the
airport express/metro station - so it's an easy stop. It hides
behind another hotel, so it can be difficult to find the first time.

Very comfortable and clean, traditional chinese gardens and furnishings. Perfectly situated in the hutongs ( what a welcome difference to the bland upmarket chain hotels in the centre) . The hotel was decorated in old style china, great if you want the feel of stepping back in time.The rooms were clean and tidy and the gardens and buildings are very picturesque. Staying here puts you in the centre of a real chinese community, all the people were friendly and if you are a westerner you will draw a few glances.
