I am a true fan of the Opposite House. I stay once a year there, when on Business in Beijing. The staff is very helpful and is happy to take care of many issues, which would cost you a lot of time doing yourself, such as printing business cards etc. The rooms are great, with all facilities you want, nice coffee, great music system, free mini-bar. The restaurants and bars are great and you can actually hold many of your meetings at the hotel, as Beijingers like to come to there. The swimming poo

We thought the staff, Xiao wei and Gu jie, were excellent. They were tremendously helpful to us and very friendly and caring.
It was very close to the main attractions of Beijing but in a very quiet area. We felt very safe.

Our family stayed here while vacationing with another family. Each family stayed in an apartment with the apartments in different buildings. The rooms were comfortable and convenient for people traveling with children. We had a fresh water dispenser, washer/dryer (with laundry soap), small kitchen with stove and fridge. Best location in Beijing. THe hotel is close to Wangfujing and Tiananmen East subway stops. Hotel is within walking distance to Wangfujing, food market, forbidden city, national museum, tiananmen square. A few stops from the lama temple and temple of heaven. Wifi in the room and lobby, excellent connection. Room service, food was OK but sufficient.

By its very nature I was immersed in the Hutong and saw how those people live on a daily basis.
For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.

A most beatiful old historic courtyard building full of loads of character. We had a four poster bed and looked out onto the courtyard. A peaceful haven set amongst fascinating huton alley ways. Very clean, very comfortable and lovely breakfasts.

Great atmosphere and great staff - Beautiful courtyard residence in close proximity (walking distance) to the forbidden city and two parks. Very helpful and welcoming staff, completely fluent in English. No need to hesitate with your questions, you can trust their advice and recommendations.
