Petit appartement tout confort, qui permet d'être loin de la cohue des touristes à San Pedro de Atacama. Il est facile de faire la cuisine, et même un barbecue sur la terrasse.

The rooms were quite big and because they are built of adobe, they stay quite warm at night, even without a heater. The staff were very friendly (the owner was away at the time) and offered extra blankets, filled up the hot water bottle we had with us, and had a great breakfast ready for us each morning. Jose Miguel, the owner, is on site and always available to help with tours, restaurant recommendations and anything that needs dealing with in the rooms. The bed is comfortable and the room and private bathroom clean. The hostal is in a quiet street on the edge of the town centre but the main centre is a maximum 5 minutes walk away so the convenience is great without late night noise. We had a great stay and Jose Miguel was a great host.

Location is wonderful. Staff from reception to maids and restaurant staff are great and attentive. It is pricey but everything in San Pedro is expensive. Will stay there again. -

Javiera, from the hostel made my stay so pleasant and comfortable. She was a life savior and to me when you are abroad with limited resources it makes a big difference. Talk to them before you start your tours but it helps to compare with other your agencies. Don't go by the rates some offer better services than other. But, La Ruca was a very nice

Very conveniently located near the main street. Nice friendly people, but our problem was our complete lack of any Spanish. The main receptionist spoke good English, but if out of main office hours it was a struggle for us. That is our problem really. The rooms were clean but simple. The WiFi worked well.
