The host and her son treated us very well during our stay. This included a very nice breakfast every morning and they helped us with arranging several activities in the city. The location in the forest, views and atmosphere at this B&B are amazing and provide a relaxing place in a buzzling city. -

Leila and Luiz are fantastic hosts. They make you feel at home in their house and help out willingly and effectively. The location is very unique, located between the city center and South part of town, it's possible to reach any part of Rio quickly.
10 minute walks lead you to busses, a very famous statue or an often filmed and safe favela.

The owners Leo & Leila have just opened their beautifull family home to guests. I felt lucky to have come across this lovely family residence before they become to popular. I felt a welcome guest of the family rather than a customer. Leo & Leila went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant and accommodating as possible. I very much look forward to coming back hear in the futcher.

We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome.

Perfect for a two-three day getaway and would work well if the beach is not an option (winter) or just to mix it up before/after a few days at the beach. The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

Even before we left the UK our host Isobel was most welcoming arranging pick up at the airport. We woke up the next morning to the most amazing view and fantastic breakfast on the veranda. I am a regular visitor to Rio, the views from Rio Panoramic are the best I have seen, absolutely stunning! Set in the hills of Santa Theresa, this beautiful house has been lovingly restored and furnished and decorated with great taste.

The hosts were very welcoming, with much good advice about how to get around and where to visit. The location was great, with a stunning view across the city and the perfect place to explore the Santa Teresa district and the historic city. Good rooms with an excellent breakfast provided a wonderful start to a day of getting to know Rio. -

Everything in the hotel was superb. Of course it is a bit expensive, but you are really treated like you "own the place".
The staff is just perfect. The hotel is basically a beautiful old house, with a brazilian decoration of its finest taste, and a breathtaking view of the city. Rooms are clean and classy. Just remarkable. We highly recommend it

luxury/value/etc. We were getting for the money. Felt like a
real steal. Would definitely stay there again if I was ever back in

Amazing friendly staff, great facilities and air conditioning. Regularly
cleaned. The staff are very knowledgable and helpful, they will be able
to tell you anything about Rio. This is not a typical "party"
hostel as there are people of all different ages and walks of life.
Having said that, the bar is great and the caipirinhas are authentic!

The hostel was really very good, our room had a private balcony and was
a good size on the upper floor, well located in Santa Teresa overlooking
Rio and next to Lapa, a fun district full of clubs and restaurants,
staff was young, enthusiastic and very helpful......especially David at
front desk, good breakfast and plentiful great Brazilian coffee!!!!
