the B&B was central to the township, beautifully presented and full of character. The rooms were small, but clean, with excellent facilities. The stay was a delight and I would say it was a highlight of our Western Australian trip. Congratulations to the owner/builder for rescuing an old icon of the area, and providing a most unique building. The breakfast in the converted tea rooms was cheap, and great value. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a "special" stay, to book this B&B.
tous commentaires » This was a really quaint guest house in Margaret River. It has real character and was ideal for our 2 night stay in the area. The reception staff were very friendly. I liked the bathroom with a big stand alone bath and the little patio outside. Breakfast was also excellent. If you want something different from another "motel" type room, then it is ideal. Due to a delayed flight we we didn't make it to Margaret River till 10pm, 2 hours past the requested check-in time. Not only did they place the key somewhere that was easy to find, but they turned the heating on in our little cabin so it was toasty when we arrived. Breakfast staff were very welcoming and the cabin was gorgeous! Thank you!. The staff listened to our concerns and took immediate actions. We were concerned with the night noise coming from the rooms above us and the staff had a word to the guests in question. We didn't hear the people above us on the second night. The staff were very friendly and efficient and this resulted in a wonderful experience. We liked the Champane in the room ( was very welcoming and unexpected). as it was our 45th aniversaryWe like the bed. The vist from the cat named YOU. We very much liked the adjoining restaurant both for breakfast and we had a lovely dinner as well. I loved our stay in Bridgefield! The vintage deco and the special graceful atmosphere I love the most. But it ll ve perfect if our room had a little fridge for us to store our wine and cheese. But beside that, everything was perfect! Thank you :). The cosy rooms and decor, the location, the free/included breakfast at La Scarpetta, the very effective heater, the welcoming atmosphere, the tea and coffee making facilities and the wine glasses/crockery provided. Beautifully designed guesthouse, in a perfect location with plenty of parking and easy access to the Highway for further travelling. The breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was also ver taty. Great location. The TV in my room did not work. The staff bent over backward to fix the problem and when no solution was found moved be quickly to a better room. Historical building in the heart of Margaret River. Attached is a wonderful Italian Restaurant, La Scarpetta. Great for breakfast and wonderful for dinner. Charming establishment. Everything that we needed for our three night stay. Close to everything. Slow combustion heater warmed up the lounge area nicely. The quaint old style decor with free standing bath. The convenient location to walking trails and the centre of town. The attached Italian restaurant. The room was beautiful great views, comfy bed, huge bathroom. Staff were helpful and located a minute from town. Would definitely stay there again. Good location in Margaret River, 5 minutes walk to most of the restaurants. Paper thin walls and ceilings. We thought that the bed upstairs was going to fall through our ceiling, especially when the adult activities began. I didn't like chasing around for the reception (it was confusing for every other guest we to as well as us. The stair way should be better illuminated. No fridge in the room. Nothing! Was fantastic and we will definitely return. The exchange rate their credit card processor used added an extra $4 plus per night. 3 other hotels in Australia and 40 plus hotels in Asia and Europe gave me a fair rate. I'd suggest paying in cash. NOTE: My credit card has no foreign transaction fees and the charge was in Australian dollars. Minimal amenities, appliances old and tired. Having to ask for some jam or spread for our toast every morning. After finally getting it I was too scared to ask for a second cup of coffee. nothing. Being disturbed by restaurant guests having a very loud but good time as well as trying to come in to my room late at night (lots of door knob rattling on the way to the toilet). Long life milk - would prefer fresh Water pressure up and down. The noise of the road works made it hard to relax and have a sleep in. lack of consideration from families in ajoining rooms. The cabin was in real need of a good clean, the window sills had not been cleaned for a very long time. A nicer cooker would have been nice but we managed with the one we had. The room was lovely but the noise from the rooms on either side was disturbing. Not because the occupants were loud but the spud travelled so much that I heard the person next door breathing in the middle of the night. One evening was particularly noisy when the restaurant had a busy night and the noise kept me awake for a while. Very noizey Room was very small.
