The owner and staff were very friendly. And always willing to give you a
lot of information. The interior of the hosteria is very cosy and the
rooms are spacious and clean. There is also garden. It is approx. 5
minutes by foot to the center. -

We loved staying in the Santa Monica Apartments. The log cabin was
really cosy and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed our delicious
breakfasts which were brought to the cabin each morning. It's just
round the corner from the main street in El Calafate so really

Located very close to the bus terminal and the town. Staffs (Mother and the son) were very very helpful and flexible with the payment, check in/ check out time and so on. One day we had to leave at 5:30am, breakfast starts at 6am but they left coffee and breakfast for us. Also on the day we left, shuttle service came one hour earlier than schedule

New owners since May 2013. Making it a warm welcoming place. We stayed 4 nights. Superfriendly, English and Spanish speaking. Very helpfull, especially Ramiro who helped us with everything we asked and more, even with our bustickets to ibera! Nice big comfortable rooms, clean with comfy beds, great breakfast. Close to busstation and one block from main street. We warmly recommend this place! One of the best places we stayed at in Argentina!

All staff including the restaurant one went way beyond their duty, so nice and helpful. The location was perfect for us, best view of the lagos in town and only few minutes walk or cab from town if you need to go there. Very helpful staff and a warm and cozy place to stay! They had a large common area to meet & eat breakfast (which was included in the room rate). They gave us great restaurant recommendations and were really helpful in booking an excursion to the glacier. -
Staff are friendly, multilingual and helpful, especially for booking of tours/transfer

We loved this place!! The good at the restaurant was excellent, nice to
have scrambled eggs for breakfast too for a change. Beds were so comfy,
clean rooms, hot showers.. Nice view of the ranch and also loved the
lounging area. Walk to town was about 15 to 20 minutes.

Gabriel, the host, was extremely kind and helpful. The hotel and rooms
were decorated with a lot of taste. The hotel was located near the bird
reserve and lake. It was very peaceful to stay at this hotel. The hotel
has a restaurant that serves specialities from Patagonia. It is also
very nice to have the tea and cake offered every day between 5-7p

Staying at Cauquenes de Nimez was one of the best travel experiences we ever had. It is not a place for those looking for luxury, but instead you will find a great staff that will make their best to make you feel like you are at home. Have a free cup of tea at 6 o'clock looking at the birds flying over the Nimez laguna and waking up with the birds singing is really fantastic. Located only 15 minutes-walk away from the center of the city. Thanks Sr. Gabriel and the team for the great hospitality

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was slightly better
than we are used to in Argentina. There are nine rooms around a small
central garden. The garden provides for an excellent location to read a
book or enjoy the sun. The rooms are cosy and clean (not large). Good
value for money. The main shops are 5 minutes away. -

Very nice location with spectacular view of the Lago. Simple but very
comfortable and spacious rooms with floor heating and big panoramic
windows. Stayed 2 nights and loved it. The host veronica is friendly and
helps you organize trips etc. very recommended. -
