  We are a couple from Mexico in our fisrt trip to Calafate. We found Hosteria Meulen wonderful and clean. Hostesses were very nice and always worried about our satisfaction.   We spent 2 nights in El Calafate, wished could have stayed longer to extend the stay at La Cantera. Service was perfect, Giorgina in particular made our stay soo easy, smooth and hassle free that made us happy to be there. Recommendations for excursions were right, breakfast was very good (ask my gf for the homemade cakes), room big and clean. The tours organised through the hotel were cheaper than those we had researched online. Thanks!

  We loved this place!! The good at the restaurant was excellent, nice to have scrambled eggs for breakfast too for a change. Beds were so comfy, clean rooms, hot showers.. Nice view of the ranch and also loved the lounging area. Walk to town was about 15 to 20 minutes.

The garden provides for an excellent location to read a book or enjoy the sun. The rooms are cosy and clean (not large). Good value for money.   Excellent place. It is really a “boutique” hosteria, similar to an upscale American (not British) B&B. About a 10 minute walk to town, but you will need to use a cab when first arriving with luggage since the road is not paved all the wa - Lovely styling, view, breakfast. Very comfortable. Staff speaks very little English but helped me with many things with my broken Spanish ( did a great job with laundry and reasonably priced, taxi in the morning, booking me for another day, holding my suitcase while I travelled elsewhere for a night.
