Location, location, location! Super friendly staff, from front desk to housekeeping. Refrigerator in room (free) made breakfast and lunch budget friendly. Shuttle to St. Armand's Circle so you don't have to deal with parking. Location, literally steps to the beach. Free beach lounge chairs; cabanas only $10 a day. Pool bar, two pools, both heated. Location. Parking deck attached to hotel so you literally walk from garage to your room level - no hassle with elevators or stairs. Very clean throug.
kaikki arvostelut » We loved the fact that your hotel was right on the beach on Lido Key! It was so beautiful and relaxing and the beach is spectacular!! The pools were nice and warm even on the days when it was cloudy, very windy and only in the high 60'S. We would definitely come back!. We had a great time on the beach. Didn't know what to expect, but it worked out great. The people were very friendly and the retro hotel was fun to stay at. would definately go back and recommend. The staff was wonderful and the upgrade was very unexpected and appreciated. We really enjoy the restaurant it is so nice to not have to drrive somewhere to eat. The food is very good aso. Kelly at the pool bar is brilliant and deserves her own show !! Worth the visit just to meet her.. Works soo hard and makes the best piña colada !! Location beach and pool great!!. Didn't want to stay in some high rise hotel, The Helmsley had a lot of character. Staff on beach were great as were the bartenders at the out door bar. I enjoyed everything!!! it was beyond what I had expected the location could not have been any better! Overall Amazing!!. For an older hotel, it was kept up beautifully. Cleaning staff was excellent, and all staff was friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. The staff was helpful, polite, courteous. The rooms were always serviced well. . Great location, restaurant was great, beach, pool bar and of course Earl at the lounge. This hotel is very cute. Old Florida but with some very nice amenities. location to water and shopping swimming pools. The sea views and proximity to the beach. location. Location. The facility in close proximity to the beach is nice. Teeny, tiny bathroom ... thank goodness the sink is outside in a vanity area. Gratuity automatically added on to bar drinks! Printed price was $6.50, but you pay $8.00 after gratuity - ridiculous!. Two out of the three video games you had were out of order...would have been nice for our 12-yr old son to have been able to play on them when it was too stormy and chilly be in the pool or on the beach. The only thing that bothered us was the foul smell coming from drains in sink and bathtub. I think the plumbing is very old and may be what causes this. I ubderstand the cost for replacing would be alot however it would be a great improvement. Rooms are a bit tired and need an update but they are clean and there is everything you need !!!. I had called and asked for a brochure to be mailed to me, because this was a surprise birthday gift - never received it. Front desk seemed surprised that I would request information/menus to local restaurants. Ironically the next morning a supplement in the newspaper delivered to our room was exactly what we were looking for. Did not care to share balcony, and balcony was a bit tight. Bathrooms were very small as well. The bath rooms could have been larger. Would have loved to have had a kitchen. Can 't think of a thing. rooms are fairly small. Bit dated and noisy air con which interrupted sleep. outdated. Housekeeping and age of rooms. The facility is outdated and needs to be renovated. The cost for one night's stay in Room 242 was not worth it. We will not return.
