  excellent quality of service and materials, windows and bed - the rooms were very nice, comfortable, clean and well appointed, and not small like many NYC hotel rooms - actually quite roomy. The staff was extremely professional and accommodating. We dined at the Japanese restaurant in the hotel and the food was excellent - as was the service. Also, the level of security is very important in a place like NYC, and the Waldorf takes extra measures to ensure everyone feels a high level of security.   This is a "Classic" hotel that is part of the Waldorf Astoria. Separate entrance, separate doorman, concierge, etc. Feels like "Old New York". Rooms have 15 ft ceilings and wonderful architecture.
