Boston's best kept secret! We loved this hotel. Our room was large and immaculately decorated with a beautiful view over the harbour from our balcony. The hotel is small only 10 bedrooms and you eat your breakfast in your bedroom unusual but we really liked it! We would really recommend this hotel!

Such a beautiful and well-preserved historic beauty, inside and out! The staff was so gracious, friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were homecooked and delicious; there were snacks available all day long. Owner had given much thought to little details that made my stay so pleasant. I could walk around a beautiful old neighborhood and one block to the "T" and feel safe and peaceful. I definitely will stay there again.

The apartment was very clean, it was spacious, it had everything we needed and more. I loved that we had 2 full baths, that we got extra towels and extra pillows. The beds were very comfortable. We absolutely enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Thorncroft Inn. It was quite a peaceful and relaxing experience. I am personally very picky about hotels /inns to the point I usually bring sheets and towels. To my surprise, I felt so comfortable with the feeling of cleanliness that I did not have to use them. The service was exceptional. Kudos to Lynn and Carl!

My husband threw out his back, the mattress was too soft for him and he was not well upon waking up after our first night.
Front desk offered to chage us to another room or place a board under the bed, which helped somewhat.

The landscaped grounds of the PBVR are interesting and beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the room we stayed in had been recently renovated. There was a new rug, comfortable beds, and the bathroom was recently retiled. The room was spacious for a family of four. It was nice to have breakfast available on site.
