  Hotel room and public areas were very clean. Our room had newer carpet and new shower/tub, very good rainhead shower. Towels, sheets and shower curtain clean. Plenty of parking and small pool in back. Staff were courteous and check in quick. Room had good ac. Beds comfortable and hotel very quiet at night for a good sleep. Price was much lower than other Portsmouth hotels on a busy summer weekend and was a very good deal for the pr - Check in at 1:00 pm was fast, smooth and the Man at the counter was very nice. Our room was great until I noticed the smoke alarm was hanging and water was leaking from it. Then the alarm went off when we had to go get a few things. They put us in another room very quickly. (also please read negative feed back)

  The friendliness and accomodating staff, the complimentary nacho night, the kids loved it! And the complimentary breakfast. I had my four young granddaughters with me and if saved me alot of money not to have to take them into restaurants and waste food. And the pool/gym side by side! - The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Portsmouth. You can walk to most downtown restaurants and shopping. It is new and very clean. i stayed in a suite and was very surprised to find it has a kitchen complete with full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and cooktop. It was perfect for hosting a group of friends for cocktails and appetizers.

  This hotel was in walking distance to many shops and dining places. The hotel was very elegant and the staff was friendly. The king bed was so comfortable and room was very nice. - Location is ideal. Walkable to everything. Our (club) room was large, clean, & very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

  There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like about The Anchorage Inn and Suites.From comfortable and impeccably clean rooms to the beautiful indoor pool and sauna to the amazing , friendly staff and the free continental breakfast ,I couldn't have been more pleased. 'Roundabout' Swimming pool not used but looked nice. Excellent for what we wanted - a comfortable inexpensive base to explore Portsmouth and surrounding area Would certainly go back there .
