The Carriage House Inn is a historic Victorian mansion less than five minutes from shopping and dinning in downtown Newport. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV with movie channels are available in every Carriage House Inn room. Rooms are furnished with a fireplace, work desk, refrigerator and microwave. The large bedroom and oversized king bed. THe bathrooms were well equipped with blow dryer and various sundries. The decor is consistent with the era. We drove 5 minutes to the restaurants and beach. The morning continental breakfast was very well done. The Hotel is owned by the same people who own several restaurants and hotels in the area including the Atlantic beach club. We had a good dinner there. Recommend Tickets Restaurant for a fresh delicious breakfast. And we had dinner at KJ's, whic.
kaikki arvostelut » Friendly welcome right from the start, nice large comfortable room, good continental breakfast, easily accessible to Newport, quiet location so sleep was easy, Old boutique type property but well maintained. I loved everything about it. Great location and just a beautiful place with everything you would ever need. Breakfast was great and it was included in the price. Do yourself a favor and stay here!. The cleanliness was beyond our expectations. The staff was ecstreamly helpful and friendly. Especially the lady on the over-night shift. Very helpful and extremely friendly. It had 2 queen beds, heat lamp in the bathroom, fridge and microwave, decor was pretty nice. Also only a few miles from a gluten free bakery and Sweet Berry Farm. Location is excellent. It is a block outside Newport with easy access to downtown. Free parking, good accomodations, wifi and friendly staff. The staff was so nice and welcoming and full of suggestions for places to go and see and different options for activities. Beautiful rural hotel...a breath of fresh air compared to typical chain hotels/motels...away from the madding crowd!. Breakfast was acceptable if not great. Affordable hotel, a bit far away from Newport, thus a car is required. Spacious, comfortable and functional rooms. Good breakfast. I had read that there was a "slight odor" in the hotel. It isn't unpleasant, but it is evident. The appearance of the Inn is pretty, but there isn't a room with a view of anything but the back yards of the surrounding homes and the parking lot. nothing !!!. We were right next to front desk, kinda creepy orange light in the bathroom, and our window view was of the side of the building. But, it was a decent place to sleep, so it really wasn't too bad. Nothing. The beds were a bit creaky upon getting into them so perhaps new box springs are necessary? And the continental breakfast was a bit disappointing. I also would have liked if the items in the continental breakfast were labeled so we didnt have to guess what they were. the breakfast and breakfast room were a bit "improvised", but was nevertheless okay!. nothing really. No complaints. We were not to keen on the breakfast, especially the coffee. This is really not a big deal to us. Small high windows in room giving little light. Nothing. the fact that letsbookhotel.com didn't actually make our reservation, the terrible water pressure, the fact that the pipes started to make high pitched noises sometimes at night. Room and furnishings were crowded and dark. It was extremely loud. Two lawn mowers, other garden tools and road work early in the morning. Cleanliness of lobby and staircase was bad. Breakfast was below expectation. Confusing cable tv -- even the concierge couldn't get it working properly.
