The food is fantastic. Quality ingredients and preparation. I had their special omelette for breakfast. Shrimp and avocado with cheese. The bay shrimp were succulent, not over cooked. The omelette package was prepared with much culinary expertise. If you like spicy, try their house made spicy sausage.
The staff was so helpful. Daniel at the front desk went out of his way to make sure our room was to our liking. Jim the barman and music was fabulous. Our trip was memorable. We'll return, and soon. What a wonderful small town.kaikki arvostelut »
Historic hotel, which is decorated to suit the style and age of the building. Centrally located, clean and comfortable rooms. Traditional, cosy, residents lounge and bar area. Good breakfast (at extra cost) and friendly staff.
great old-fashioned hotel, wonderful lobby and guest areas and lovely old-fashioned rooms (these are one choice, the hotel also offers more spaceous, more contemporary rooms in adjacent buildings).
We loved the cozy room with fireplace. It was so nice that two logs were there for us to enjoy. The motel is in a great location to the ocean and shops too. Very quiet location.
We liked the staff being so knowledgeable in the history of the hotel and the area.

It's in the center of town, yet convenient to walks and non swimming beaches. hotel is lovely Victorian, with a very pleasant staff.

Beautiful, historic hotel.
This is very nit picky, but the front desk employees don't have a private place to chat. So if you are sitting in the living room looking out at the coast line, you might hear them chatting about their hard day. Or accounting system payroll update that is making someone's life miserable for a few days. It is not a deal breaker. Just a suggestion to the hotel that anyone can hear your challenges.
It is a historic building, so does not have an elevator. The bar and kitchen also close around 9pm.

The terribly uncomfortable bed and way too hot covers. Need to have a warm cover and a cool cover in the room to accommodate guests.

Hotel seemed rundown (eg, rusted outdoor furniture).
Room was small and needs renovating. Staff recommended after 9 dining at a pub a short walk away instead of a fantastic restaurant right next door that served until 11.
facility is relatively poor, limited maintenance, not even supplying water, WiFi is not stable, not worthy with the price paid.
A long walk DOWN THE HALL to use the shared bathroom. Had to tote my towel, soap & shampoo down the hall to the shared bathroom. No WiFi in room. No TV in room. No alarm clock radio in room.
Way too expensive for such a small room/shared bathroom. Bed was
too small and uncomfortable. Staff was very unprofessional and badly
managed. They actually called the owners cheap as an excuse for the
bad service!.
