  The staff were so friendly and welcoming and all, especially the concierge Ray, went out of their way to help. We felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated the insider tips on using a Munipass or finding a good place to eat. Excellent public transport to Fisherman's Wharf or city centre. It was also great value for money. - The staff were excellent: friendly and helpful and were able to give us great tips. The cookies were a huge hit with the children and the access to hot tea ( something not so common in USA) was wonderful! The hotel was quiet and although the eating area for breakfast is small, there was never a problem finding somewhere to sit and eat. Having parking was also excellent.

  It was much quieter than staying downtown, with easy access to the bus and not far from Golden Gate Park by car. Good restaurants within an easy walk. It's not a luxury hotel, but perfectly adequate and well cared for. Parking is limited, but it wasn't hard to find a spot in that neighborhood. - Friendly personnel, location, beds

  We were making a round trip of the US West and spending a weekend in SF (June 22 to 24). Slightly shocked with the hotel rates, we picked this one as it was more or less reasonably priced (still > 100 USD per night) and had free parking (evidently hard to find in SF) and WiFi. Two guys at the office were friendly and helpful and the location was just fanta - My mom and I went to San Fransisco for just one night. When we started looking at hotels we got really overwhelmed. Everything was so expensive with poor reviews. Except this place. The reviews were decent. And we were so happy we chose it. It was extremely easy to find, parking was free, the staff was very nice and friendly, and the room was very clean. We actually had a great view of the city from our room. And it's close to the palace of fine arts and the marina, so it's an easy and safe pla

  Hotel was like an Oasis off the busy Lombard St. Get a courtyard facing room and its very quiet. We initially had a street facing room which was loud but not unbearable, especially later on in the evening. Staff at the hotel did offer us earplugs if we needed them. Chestnut St is immediately north of Lombard St with plenty of bars and nice restaurants. Safe place to be and the number 30 bu - The entire property is lovely and maintained well. The room was pristine and charming. I wish we had been off the street in the courtyard, but that is something we will do next time we come into town. The parking was a huge bonus and the proximity to the bus line made it possible to just leave the car parked the entire time we were in the city! What a jewel!   The staff was very friendly and flexible when our plans changed. Parking facility was excellent and secure. - The room was super clean, oversized and the tub drained!! :) Parking was limited but free! The free coffee was better than Starbucks!
