  Better than the Belvedere! I visit NY all the time and usually stay in 4 star hotels, sometimes 5. I was a little worried about the Gem, but decided I should try it out. Best decision I made. The place is a gem.   We stayed at Four Points for 4 nights, once we landed in Newark Airport we caught the bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal (Newark Airport Express Bus), the price was $28 each return, or $16 each way. Kathia was the young lady that checked us in and she was very helpful as well as kind and considerate. Mohammed was one of the gentlemen in the lobby. He stored our luggage so we could go ahead and go site-seeing while we waited on our room. When the room was ready Kathia was very quick to finish the paperwork and get us checked in. Instead of waiting for our luggage, Mohammed told us to go on up to the room and he would bring it up for us.

  Have to admit I was a little anxious about whether this was a good choice, but it turned out to be perfect! Apt was very clean and newly updated (nice tile, hardwood, cabinets). Seemed very secure. When I arrived, the staff had my suitcase inside the hotel before I was even out of the taxi.
