  Excellent budget hotel much cheaper than most but great value for money. Clean no frills rooms quite large for NYC. We had a Queen bed our room had a small annexe room (no door) for our 18 year old daughter. Each room had a flat screen TV, airconditioners and each a small walk in robe.   I like everything about our stay at the Hampton Inn at 35th St. All of the staff from the desk reception, maintenance and cleaning staff were very friendly and professional! My daughter loved the complimentary hot chocolate. She even commented "Mom, I really like this hotel" and she's only 14.   Beautiful studio in a great location between Broadway and Fifth Avenue, with a nice view on Broadway and the Empire State building. Old building with character and security. Nice cornerroom(no#1212) with a great view. 6th Ave in one direction with Central Park at the end, and looking down on Herald Square and Macys in the other direction.   Location was outstanding. Central positioning in Midtown, v close to Empire State & Times Square. Every request from the hotel was met - extra bedding delivered immediately. Staff very helpful and friendly, breakfasts v good. Some people have complained about the fact that only 2 elevators served (I think) up to 12 floors. Would highly recommend for great value and loc - The location is terrific. It is in the middle of manhattan and next to important subway stations. Extremely convenient transportation. The next door is 5th avenue and macy'S. Also it is near korean town and cafes and bars so that both western and eastern style food is easy to get. The room I am in is quite new, with big tv and good city view to Empire building (if you stay above 16th floor). Breakfast is very nice indeed. And the most important, staffs are very nice! Especially Mathew!

  The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Just what you can expect from a new, renovated hotel. The room was somewhat on the small side (1 king bed, room with two queens is larger but also more expensive) but I guess that is common in NY where space is limited and hotel prices are high.   I travelled with my friend. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and also problem solving oriented. We arrived at 5h30 am and were supposed to check in at 3PM. Mr Matthew at the reception took initiative to fix a ready room and before 9am we were able to enjoy our room! The common areas and rooms are perfectly clean and very well maintained. Very pleasant body care products a - Professional, friendly and helpful staff - greeted us with a smile and a welcome every time we passed through the lobby.
