  Hotel was like an Oasis off the busy Lombard St. Get a courtyard facing room and its very quiet. We initially had a street facing room which was loud but not unbearable, especially later on in the evening. Staff at the hotel did offer us earplugs if we needed them. Chestnut St is immediately north of Lombard St with plenty of bars and nice restaurants. Safe place to be and the number 30 bu - The entire property is lovely and maintained well. The parking was a huge bonus and the proximity to the bus line made it possible to just leave the car parked the entire time we were in the city! What a jewel!   We like the location and the hotel. Room was very nice. - We enjoyed our stay but thought it was a bit overpriced. The breakfast room is small but it is a federation home. The staff got in the way a bit when trying to make breakfast.
