  We (young couple - 28 yo) stayed in this hostel during one week to visit ny. We spent a very nice time at this place. The bedroom (economy-cheap) was little but nice, confortable and clean (queen bed, sink, mirror, window). We had a shared bathroom always clean and available (morning and evening) ! The breakfast was very nice (cereals, some fruits... mitä ihmiset sanovat » , bread, bagel, hard egg, jam, butter, honey, tea, coffee, milk, juice ...). The location was perfect to visit Manhattan, very close to metro, between - Frankie at the front desk was wonderful. The location was very close to the 8th avenue subway station which was a nice line to ride and see the city. The breakfast was delicious and the other guests were friendly. The water pressure in the shower was good (a plus for me). The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job cleaning the room daily. Very quiet during our stay both from other rooms and from the outside. There is a grocery store on 8th ave between 22nd and 21st (2 minute walk).

  I loved the rooftop bar! It has a beautiful view of Madison Square Garden and then the world trade towers in the distance. The rooms and hotel were clean and filled with friendly staff and guests. I also loved the selection of complimentary breakfast. It was very convenient for me to grab something quick before leaving. The front desk helped calm us down, while providing instructions and directions on how to find our car. Kept our room for us until we were able to get it and return. Plenty to do right around the hote - I received a very warm and friendly welcome from Ana in the Chelsea Pines Inn, and all the staff there were charming and lovely throughout my short stay. The location of this Inn is excellent - a few steps away from an underground station, Chelsea Market and the High Line. Small touches like complimentary water and printing facilities makes Chelsea Pines Inn compare favourably to more upscale places I stayed in ny (where they were charging $8 for a small bottle of water!).

  The apartment was in a stellar location conv to everything Manhattan, Time Square, Shopping, food, subway. Was very private apartment big enough for the group of four and maybe two more. All amenities were provided including toliet paper, glasses, plates, dish washer, stove everything. Value was great for a two night stay. Will visit again.

  The staff was very friendly, the pictures of the hotel is real: "What you see is what you get" - The beds are comfortable, rooms has a good size for a hotel in Manhattan - Clean and nice! Gave us a late check out at no extra cost and the bar staff are very friendly. A great, clean comfortable room and not far from the sights or subway. I would stay again.

Very quite for such a central location. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Coffee and cakes available throughout the day and evening. - Loved our short stay here. Great location and charming inn - more like staying in a home than a hotel, which is especially hard to come by in New York. We had large, comfortable room on the main floor.
