  Very comfortable, elegant hotel in the heart of SoHo, brilliant for shopping and eating out. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, and we did not feel out of place with our 4 boys aged 11-20. It was expensive, but then everything in New York is expensive! How is that five star hotels still can't understand to threat guest as individuals? When you have answered the same standard questions if everything is great a hundreds times from every staff in just a four day short visit, it becomes less funny. Different individuals are intresting, perfect robotized hotels are not.

  OM-Gosh! What a hotel.... Firstly the staff are A-mazing and secondly the hotel is just marvellous. This hotel is more like a private members club than a hotel, its chic, suave and sophisticated but by no means 'showey' like most high-end expensive hotels. The attention to detail on furnishings in the drawing room and bedrooms is just exqusite. Soft-Drinks and Treats in the room are all gratis which - The closest hotel I have found is the Milestone in London. It has perfect, large rooms for NYC, free snacks and soft drinks, a wonderful spa, and enough quirks and charms to make it I suspect the best hotel experience in NYC. You can pay up for a fancy, big lobby but I think this is actually the best hotel experience.

  Boerum Hill is a great alternative to staying in Manhattan. We were travelling for a friends wedding in the area and probably wouldn't have considered it before but definitely would again. We stayed in the top floor, two bedroomed apartment which gave us much more flexibility than you would have in a hotel room.   This was my second stay at The Bowery and I still love it. You really feel like you are in NY not the tourist version of NY that you see on TV (if that makes sense). The location of the hotel is perfect for my needs. If shopping is your thing, then you are within walking distance of Soho.
