This lovely vintage boutique hotel is absolutely lovely.... Great decor!The coffee/water/ cookies and popcorn in the lobby area were an added bonus for a mid afternoon or pre bedtime "noche" ! Breakfast was lovely and ample ....Beds were great! The western shop directly across from the Grand was fabulous... It's enormous and one can spend the afternoon just browsing .... the proprietor was extremely helpful re local info.... Brannigan's (Irish Pub around the corner from the Grand) was a great p.
kaikki arvostelut » I was a little anxious when I saw the outside of the hotel. It could have been really seedy, but it wasn'T. It was beaufitully restored. We were checked in expeditiously. When we said that we had to leave at 5:30 am the next morning for the airport, the receptionist said that she would order breakfast ready for us at 5:00 am instead of the normal 5:30. I can't imagine a chain hotel being as accommodating. She also gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. Although we only chos. The rooms were not large but very clean and the beds were very nice. Breakfast was very with a good variety. They also had homemade cookies and popcorn at night. The hotel was opened in 1903 but has been upgraded but has kept he old time charm, especially with the staircase and lobby. It is right downtown and is surrounded by speciality shops and one shopping center. Most of the large stores have moved to the away from downtown area. There is a large park about 6 blocks from the hotel for p. Great heritage building, lovely friendly staff, coffee, cookies and popcorn laid on in lobby for arriving guests, very comfortable beds with high quality linen, nice continental breakfast with great quiche, located in town centre - close to bars and restaurants. The food was wonderful. My husband dropped his car keys down the elevator opening they searched until they found them about an hour or so they searched as if the keys were theirs. Kalispell Grand Hotel is a renovated 100 year old hotel that retains the atmosphere of a bygone era. A nice complimentary breakfast is available daily and there are several restaurants within easy walking distance. It is a lovely hotel. Great location. One block from mall, three blocks to Moose's Saloon which has the best pizza in Kalispell. Bed was great and room was nicely done. Nice breakfast nothing special. We will be staying here on our next trip to Kallispell. What a charming hotel loved the friendly staff, the homemade cookies and popcorn. Some traffic noise from Main St. (especially in morning - rooms on the side street are quieter). A little noisy as it is right on main st. Not a criticism, but the coffee could be stronger. The room was a little on the small side but this is to be expected in an older hotel. There was nothing to dislike. only thing I can say is that heating was not on in the room, was a bit cold but soon warmed up. The outside noices and too many sweets for breakfast. would much rather had fresh fruit. Room was a mite small, but otherwise comfortable. Nothing!. Satisfied customer. The bathroom/sink area was very tight and the room quite small. Perhaps have recycle bins in the rooms. Cups etc,. Needs black-out curtains or shades. My room was across the street from the legion and was a bit noisy. Would like to have seen a lounge in the building. Same thing each morning for breakfast.I think they could have a few different loaves on different days,alternate potato cheese quiche with other like preparations. Zip ... The room we were in had a lot of traffic noise and we did not sleep well. Nothing I would change. The small size of the room and no bathtub. No fridge, Not enough sound proofing especially between opposing windows and a/c's, A long trip to the parking lot in Winter. Some guests on our floor were letting their children run up and down the halls from 6:30 a.m. ongoing... We had hoped for a quieter room and will just let the staff know for next time. no fridge or microwave. more tables for breakfast needed. Rooms are quite small. Staff were a little indifferent save one younger receptionist. Nothing. The location downtown was not ideal, but ok. parking.
